Hi,
I have successfully placed a calendar in my sidebar:
http://www.danceculturecares.org/
However, I am not able to format it in any way using the esstyle.css file. I want to change the width, change the colors, etc., but even when I edit the css file nothing happens.
Any ideas as to why this is the case?
Thanks!
J

Make sure that you're not changing the .*TOC values as those affect the TOC mode. The regular mode is modified by changing the values lower in the file.
The Calendar's CSS Map (http://www.epctutorials.com/tutorials/regular-calendars-css-map/) may help here.

I was using the map (and using the correct values) and have edited the *TOC values for the TOC calendar on the "Events" page so that is not the issue.

From a quick look, the regular calendar's section of the CSS file is all default... so it's possible you're trying to change the /theme/system/esstyle.css instead of the /theme/default/esstyle.css.
If you find out that that's the case, make sure that you replace the esstyle.css file from the system theme back with an original version.

Nope that's not it either - I am definitely using the CSS file in the default theme.
If you look now, I've change the values for .mainTable width, the color and size of .monthYearText and the color of .today to blue...
I've reset my browser and cleared all the caches out and even tried viewing on another computer so that's not it either.

Not from here... .mainTable width still at the default 175px, and the .today is still #CF0000, as well as the .monthYearText values.
Make sure that you don't have two calendar folders and are updating the wrong one. And also make sure to upload the file after modification. ;)

I was working on the remote file and updating it but for some reason it wasn't writing to the file when I saved.
I quit out of my CSS editor and reopened it and everything is fine now...
Thanks for your help anyway...me happy now.

You can change the color of the month header too... just remove the call for the .gif and adjust the color. Or, you can also modify the color of the gif with the proper tools and then you'd be able to keep the gradient.
