mySQL setup?

I have just gotten my server to enable me to create mySQL databases, but after I create it I have no clue what I need to add to it to make it work. If someone could help me learn to set these up it would be greatle appreciated. Do I have to put something in the database itself before it can be used with ESCAL and then after that what to I put into the variables for the config files. Please help. Thank You

Your web host provider would be best to help you get this set up properly as there are many possible combinations of server setups and your host should be able to assist you with determining the correct settings.
