dynamic event listing/housekeeping

I'm not using the script at the moment. I only need event listings and would like to be able to display them a day (dynamically starting at today's) or a category at a time, and the ability to exclude past events from showing and purge past events by category.

I couldn't tell from the docs or faqs if this is straightforward or requires additional programming - is part of the current version or a feature request.

Any help appreciated. I do not have mysql access so would need to be able to achieve above with flat-file version.

I believe you are referring to the listings module? At this time, it will only show all of the events for the current month. However, it is only in it's first version and many new features will be added to this module.

Yes, it's the events listing. The ability to pull out only todays event for a given category on my front page would be great, and then to be able to show only future listings (retaining past as a kind of optional archive) would make your (what appears to be excellent) script exactly what I need. Unfortunately I need it fairly soon. Do you have any ideas on timeframe for listing module modifications/enhancements?

At this time, I do not have a time-frame for the next release but it is being worked on now...
