The listings module works with a flat-file database but the code hasn't been updated to work with mySQL. Right now it only will work with a flat-file database.

Additionally, there are a few things that need to be sorted out before another version can be released.

I've added all of the features that will be in Version 5.6 which are just some minor updates. The new listings module will be part of this release. It's undergoing some final testing now. It won't be long before being released pending no show-stopping bugs are found. :D

FYI, here's a list of the changes in Version 5.6 so far:

::. Bug Fixes

Fixed an error where the listings module would not show month 12 while using the listYear option.
Limited the selection of repeat months to fix a problem with recurring floating events.
Addressed some issues with the listings module (still in development).
::. General Changes

Changed some setup variables to be compatible with additional servers.
Added a DST option to Setup and Configuration Manager.
Added mySQL support to the listings module.
Updated the date display for additional language support in the listings module.
Updated the redirection routine in the Event Administration Manager for broader browser compatibility.
Updated some time functions for consistency.
There are some issues with the listings module that are still being sorted out. Hopefully these will all be resolved soon.

Some issues with date and time functions have been discovered while trying to implement the latest listings module. I am in the process of changing a lot of the date and time code for consistency and compatibility while future-proofing the underlying functions.

Unfortunately, this is going to require additional programming time and I will continue to work very hard on getting this out as quickly as I can.

I have just about completely overhauled the code concerning dates and event processing. I was even able to shave about 80 lines of code which will make the script execution even faster. :D

There are still several items to be address, including the listings module which will also needs to be updated for the new date/time system.

I hope to give you another update soon...

Since the hard-drive crash I had yesterday, I've made a little progress on the script today. Everything is just about ready for beta testing. :computer:
