Well I guess I will show off my use of this app...

www.allaboutsurf.com/ (http://www.allaboutsurf.com/)

The calendar isn't fully live yet but will be shortly... I just need to figure a few things and fine-tune the rough edges...

Hi,

Your Calender is simply great.
I was also trying to do exactly like on your website http://www.allaboutsurf.com/news/index.php
When a date is clicked ...the events of that date appear on the SAME page.
Could you please please let me know how you did it??

Many Thanks,

Suzie

The news page isn't Easily Calendar. It is nucleus. I am using Easily Calendar for my event calendar and nucleus for press releases and news items. This blog app works great for that but it needed a pretty heavy customization to look the way I set it up... Then from the event calendar I wish to link to the press release. This is where I am having he difficulty... I get that darn erreor when I turn html in the messages on...

Thanks Steve for your quick reply.
I was just looking at the Nucleus website for the 1st time now.
Any ideas or tips on how u made the press release website with a calendar will be helpful...coz I am starting to make it from scratch now.

Good Luck on your Events Calendar.

Many Thanks,

Suzie

The calendar to the right on nucleus is a nucleus plugin, not part of Easily Calendar. I only use Easily Calendar on the events page in my site... The news area is completely nucleus...

suzie, the feature you want for the Easily Simple Calendar will appear in a future version. I don't know when that will be at this time but the database structure and underlying code is alreay in place.

Brian, Is it possible for you to send me the database structure and code ...for the links to open on the same page just as on this webpage http://www.allaboutsurf.com/news/index.php

I recently bought the Calendar but could'nt put to much use coz of the event links on calendar opening as popups rather than on the same page.

Sorry, but this feature isn't quite ready to be included at this time. However, did you try the new Anchor feature of the overLIB pop-up? It will mimic what you are wanting the script to do. Just enable the feature in the setup manager then look at the demo.php file to see how it works. The instructions tell you what to do to enable this on your own page.

Please let me know if this helps. :)

Brian,

I have tried the anchor, but it still looks more or less like a revised popup which is not what I was looking for unfortunately.

What is it that doesn't work for you with the anchor? It saves the page from having to reload by providing an instant view of the days events. You can also modify the pop-up and change the sizes, colors and more from the Setup Manager and the CSS file.

My requirements are that for each day there are about 30-40 events. Such huge numbers on an anchor/popup will overshadow my main page contents. I know how to change the size, position of the anchor..but thats not what I was looking for.

I am looking for some help to modify the module listings page or which ever page it is..which would show only the particular days events(ex: I click June 1st and june 1st events should show on the same page rather than in a popup/anchor).

Ex: Something like this site http://www.allaboutsurf.com/news/index.php

Thanks a lot for ur help.

You're right. With that many events, the anchor feature wouldn't be a viable option. Hopefully I can integrate the feature the way you would like it to appear soon... :computer:

I am very happy with this now that the URL stuff works...
