View Full Version : Problem locating IonCube Free Version

I've downloaded the free Zen version (as it is the only option available), and I have not able to install it, as Zen isn't an option on this particular server.
I've searched the forums using "IonCube" as a key, and had no luck.
Where might I find the IonCube version?
As an aside, the protections used for the free version download (cannot download another copy for 30 minutes, the records showing you've already downloaded a copy) are quite annoying. As a result of my experiences so far, I've almost discounted this product as a possible solution.

There is a link to the ionCube version in the original license email for the free trial. Please let me know if you do not have this and I will PM you the information.

I don't have any limitations on downloading the free version that I can think of. Can you give me an example and/or a link to where this is happening?

When I downloaded the original version, I was required to register, which is a reasonable thing.
The only download link presented was unnamed, and when I selected the link, the filename was indicative of the zen version.
When I attempted to go back to the page and look for the IonCube version, the web page stated that I (logged in under the name I registered) had already downloaded this product.
I then used the email link, which informed me that I had already downloaded this product, and to wait for 30 minutes before attempting again.
After this, I registered under another email, so I could once again have access to the download page to search for another version, and without downloading any items, was informed that I had already downloaded, and would need to wait another 30 minutes.
By this time, I felt reasonably confident that the only item in the download area was ESCal57_Zend, and decided to spend the extra five minutes to leave a message here before discarding the files, as it seems to be an attractive product.

Thanks for the information.
Were you able to locate the link to the ionCube version?

No Brian. The link I follow in the email gives me the identical file as the manual method. When the download link on the right hand side is selected, the file is titled "ESCal57_Zend".
I do appreciate the quick responses, it gives me more confidence in the product :)

At the bottom on the license email should be text that reads "If the Zend version doesn't work for you, please visit http://link_removed to download the ionCube version."
I'll PM you the link now. Please let me know if this isn't in your license email or PM me a copy of the email contents.

The second email was identical, except in particulars, to the first.
I'm sorry to say there was no mention of the IonCube version.
Edit: And thank you for the PM link. That has successfully downloaded.

Thanks again for the information. I'll look into this as it should be sending out a different email (I didn't write the licensing system :o ).

Hello Brian,
Here is my question:
I would like to buy the new and not free version but as i went though the process I was unable to find some elements.
On the Payment Details page, we will show you the current exchange rate and the equivalent amount in your Primary Currency (generally, U.S. Dollars). When you pay, we will handle the conversion for you.
I live in France so I use Euros, I would like to know how much I will be charged for the calendar. I did not find any information about that. It tells the prize in US Dollars. That's all.

You can use http://www.xe.com/ to find out the current rates. Note that the rates that will be applied to your purchase might be slightly different as the bank or your credit card issuer will charge a small percentage to handle the conversion.

According to the current exchange rate 1 dollar equals some 1.23 euros.
So the script would cost me something under 30 euros.
I've got no clue about my bank.
I remember that when I was withdrawing from en English bank with my french card, my bank used to charge me something like less than 5 euros on top of the money withdrawn.
Bugger I did not think about that.
Thanks for your answer anyway. I'm gonna reconsider things.

Err.... I think you used the reverse...
1.00 USD = 0.813112 EUR
So... if we get the current price of the script....
16.95 USD = 13.7850 EUR
Plus whatever charges your bank will tack on..

Thanks if some European could eventually confirm that would be great it's therefore definitely worth it.
Thanks again.
Ps: Something weird I was unable to access threads though the forum but I can access it clicking on the link in my mailbox messages...

To confirm it, just use the currency converter at the bottom of the page on http://www.xe.com/
Not sure what's going on with the forum though.
