View Full Version : Mismatch error message in demo file

I'm setting up the demo file. Got through the setup fine -- except for having to run the mysql admin link to set up the table. Ran the demo file, and it looked good. Ran events admin, added an event, which appeared fine at the bottom of the event amin screen. When I went back to the demo window, I got the following error message:

.::Easily Simple Calendar::.
Database key mismatch error.
Please run the Event Administration
module to correct this problem.

Running event amin doesn't seem to do anything. I added a couple more events while there -- they still appear fine on the events screen, but the error is still listed at the top of the demo screen.

What should I do to fix this?

Can you PM me access to your admin? I'll take a look.

I only have the calendar running on a local machine; there is no access from the outside world.

I'm thinking that maybe I should turn off mysql use, and then recreate the db in mysql?

Thanks for the quick response!

Your problem may be that the license can't validate itself since you have no access to the Internet from your test machine. You'll need to try the demo on a a "connected" computer. The paid version does not have this limitation. :classic:

Will this still happen if my machine is connected to the internet, but my server is not an active host on the net (I am running all this as localhost for testing purposes).

**The error message did eventually show up in event admin, with a link to regnerate the keys. I did this, and the error message went away in event manager, but it still appears on the demo page.

***So I tried to do a complete reinastall - renamed the escal folder, put a fresh one in it's place, deleted the escal db in mysql and recreated a new one. Now when I try to run setup, it will not accept my installation key... is there some way to fix this? :confused4
