I've made a couple of modifications to the code to allow users to click on any day - the result is similar to the Previous and Next url redirects but I've added the day alongside the month and year.
Result of this is seen in the appearance of an "On this day in Liverpool history" story for that day. This modification also allows non-javascript users the ability to click all days
Pop-up currently displays matches played/to be played on that day - I'll be modifying this to add birthdays and anniversaries (of death) to the pop-ups.
My event database is not updated via the Event Administration but by backend scripts from my existing databases.
Other additions: in addition to the "On this day in Liverpool history" story, the previous matches "On this day" will be displayed below the calendar, as well as the birthdays and anniversaries that would appear in the pop-ups. These displays will be links to pages for profiles and matches.
