View Full Version : Question on code integration & local testing
Hi,
I think the calendar is very neat and nicely developed. I've done bit of searching through the threads for answers to two questions. I'm sorry if I missed the answer to one of them and am re-posting a question you've probably already answered multiple times.
1. Testing on my local machine before putting it on a live server - I found the post http://www.easilysimplecalendar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2712
2. On the download page it mentions
"The paid Version 5 does not require the use of Zend or ionCube." I would like to add a field or two to the database and be able to include this info on the event details including linking to a URL per event. Can the backend code be added to / edited or customised?
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Victor.

1) Just let me know when you want to move the calendar and I'll update your license.
2) Yes, feel free to modify the code for your needs.

Hi Brian,
Cheers for the info on the last post.
I was going to purchase version 5 and noticed version 6 is out with some nice few changes.
Version 5 is more for what I need - as I need to be able to modify the code to change some of the layout - however as mentioned above V6 has nice additions.
I read in http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3040 about the developers edition and also in another post by yourself.
Im wondering about the ability to upgrade from version 5 to version 6 developers as the need to modify / edit is needed?
Is there an online purchase facility for version 5?
Regards
Victor.

You can still order Version 5 from this link:
http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/buyonline.php
You will be able to upgrade to the Developers Version (when released) from Version 5 and Version 6.

I would be purchasing your product with a view to extending its functionality and integrating it more fully with my project. The ability to add or eliminate some of the items listed in the displays and add columns to the database has great appeal.
I would look to implement the package immediately and then make adjustments and changes as time permits and I gain experience in running the web site.
Am I to understand from the previous comments that I could make these kinds of changes to version 5 (subject to the license agreement) but not version 6?

You can modify Version 5 now. Version 6 will be available at a later date in a Developers Version which will allow modification.
