I first started looking at this software a few weeks ago, before version 6 came out. As I recall, the source comes with version 5.7. This was a big plus to me, since the software is a bit iffy on some of my requirements and desires. I may want to modify it later.

I was looking at the release announcement for version 6, and noticed a mention of the program being distributed using encoder/accelerators in an early March post from you. However, the most recent post (the top one, as it were) states that with the Developer's Edition, "all of my original formatting and notes will remain in the script." This is the only difference given. That would seem to indicate that uncommented source will be included.

Could you please clarify?

The Developers Version will include the files exactly as there are saved on my development server, comments and all. There will be a few files that remain encoded however. Which files exactly have yet to be determined but it will be a few as possible. If I had to guess which ones, I would say the authentication and license scripts from the setup manager and the date marking function file. But don't hold me to it as this may change...

And the regular, non-developer, non-trial version?

Version 6 is encoded.

Also, Version 5 (unencoded) is still available.

Thanks Brian. I appreciate your quick responses. I'll have to compare the cost of not having access to the source against the new features of version 6. I have a feeling, though, that we'll get version 6.
