Excuse me for my somewhat limited knowledge of working with php related stuff. Following the instructions I uploaded the calendar directory to my server and when I try to access index.php to do the setup I get –
Fatal error: Incompatible file format: The encoded file has format ID 0, which is too old in /home/sealco2/public_html/calendar/setup/index.php on line 0
Any thoughts on what I screwed up? I tried some alternate permission, but I don’t think that is the issue here.

What program are you using to upload the files?

Did it via Dreamweaver first, but I just tried doing a direct upload with my server control panel and got same result.

You should use a stand-alone FTP application because some of the files need to be uploaded in forced binary mode. If you'd like, PM me your FTP information and I can upload the files for you.

Thanks I got it fixed. Once I saw you question how I uploaded the files I figured I would try the most basic and simply FTP it. Problem solved.
Thanks

I have come across the same problem, using Dreamweaver as well, but I don't know how to do a "basic FTP." I changed the FTPExtensionMap in Dreamweaver for those certain files that had to be uploaded in forced binary mode, but I'm still getting the same error. Please advise on uploading via a basic FTP program.

I will be glad to help. http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/forums/images/smilies/classic.gif
Unfortunately, there are many FTP programs and each of them handles this differently...
Which FTP program are you using?
If you wish, you can PM me your FTP information or fill out the form on the support page and I'll upload the files for you.
