Different popup behavior for normal and TOC

I'd like to have different behavior for popups in normal view and TOC view. In the admin I have popups open at certain X and Y coordinates, but I don't want that for my TOC. Can I override the admin settings for the TOV view? Or have different popup behaviors for different views?
