View Full Version : TRYING to run setup/index.php from my server

I got the calendar working as a stand alone on my hard drive
then I got it working inside my mambo site (still on my hard drive).
Now...I'm trying to get it working on the server...
I put the "calendar" folder in the "modules" folder
(like I had it on my hard drive where it is working great)
when I try to run 'setup/index.php'
I get this error
Fatal error: Decompression error, probably the file is corrupt in /home/URL/calendar/setup/index.php on line 0

I have uploaded the calendar folder a dozen times..
in every mode (mac binary III, etc.)
I"m back to "automatic" mode...
I'm using FETCH, in os 10.3.9
I ran the test thing, on my server, everything was green.
do I need to install ZEND optimizer maybe?
my host (dreamhost) claims it has ZEND already installed
as well as zion cube and that other thing...
(test thing said everything was fine with my server)

the files all look fine in calendar...

I'm kinda stuck
I'm ready to order the license
could this be an expired trial period?
I just uploaded the Zcalendar again...so its a fresh file
and I've never had this thing installed on the server before..
well, even if I had the license I wouldn't be able to activate it if I can't get the setup/index.php running right?

I'll buy the license for sure if I can get the demo working on the server.

hope this makes sense...

Sounds like a file-upload issue. If you'd like, open a support ticket with your FTP information and I'll upload the files for you.

although my server says it supports ZEND

it appears to support ioncube alot better

I just downloaded the ioncube zip file..
instead of the ZEND

worked great.

you steered me in the right direction
much appreciated
THANKS alot

thanks again bryan
we're going to order this thing for sure
works great!

the last thing we need to do (hopefully)
is get the printable.php working

I tried to install from mambo admin
"install new module"
"upload package file" then I selected the printable.zip file..
but
I get this error:

Upload module - Upload Failed
ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package

anyway
the printable will be great for them
can you steer me again?
its a non profit, they have some great programs
for kids and the elderly

The printable.php isn't a module. It should be uploaded along with the calendar script in the directory.

diske52 (member.php?find=lastposter&t=3157) is the Mambo expert. If he drops by, he should be able to shed some light on this.

4 questions for diske52..

1
how can I make that calendar LARGER size in mambo?
I'm using "desert rain" template
(for now)

2
are there plans for development of easyPHPcalendar?

3
can I get more templates for calendar?
I have:
eventAdmin.php
index.htm
modern.php
monthly.php

4
what are those files in directory/modules/calendar/templates exactly?
the last two are templates I"m guessing
which really makes me want more templates
to save me tinker time..on the CSS settings

feature request:
love the printable function
someone should do an alternate, printable2.php...
large size version, could be fullscreen large size that is printable in that calendar form
a jumbo full screen calendar
that has the calendar in CALENDAR form
I have seen some clamor for that on this forum as well
I will say most of my printed wall calendars ARE
in calendar form (like the module frontend gui)
