Thanks Brian
Coding etc is new for me however, I have the normal calendar set on my page. When I try to enter the TOC or list I get a parse error and the page will no longer display. Also the line of code turns blue in the page code.
Also, is it possible to have calendars associated to a number of groups. ie a calendar for group 1 and a calendar for group 2. if that is possible how would each group be able to select and view their calendar.
many thanks.

What is the full error that you see?
You can assign each group to a category and filter the categories for each particular group.

Open the theme/default/esstyle.css file and edit the widths of the table CSS.

This thread came in handy for me yesterday I believe when I downloaded the trial for easyphp.
This is the best calendar I came across yesterday. (I couldn't even get a $59 calendar to work at all before finding this even nicer dynamic calendar)
I figured this calendar would be a lot better than the imposed one on the forums we use for scheduling flights with, for a flight simulator. We just add 1 line flight scheduling for each event on calendar. It's looking pretty nice.
I just have one question about this TOC mode.
How can I set the mouse over pops ups to always stay on the screen, instead of having to scroll down.
I'd like to have the popup near the mouse, while still being fully readable for people without massive sized resolutions.
Right now I've fixed position Y axis to 10... But that presents another problem of scrolling up if you are scrolled down looking at the 7 day listing calendar. (Also how can I set the listing calendar to just show the date and all the events that happen in that 1 day under just 1 seperate date instead of a date for each event.)
Anyone know if it's possible to keep the mouseover popup's to always position to the browsers screen positions. (Kind of like those dynamic html menus that automatically move when scrolled to maintain it's location) (Something to this effect: http://www.dhtmlshock.com/site-navigation/SlidingMenuWithGen/default.asp )
Pretty much a floating mouseover popup.
Also if the mouseover menu is too big... I don't mind if it cuts off at the button of the screen.. long as it displays the events from the beginning on the screen.

You want to enable the mouse-over pop-up option in the Setup Manager and make sure Sticky is not enabled. This should make the pop-up events window follow the cursor. :)

Following the mouse is part of the problem... if the calender has 6 events of more per day... you can't see them all unless you set the Y access to 10. ..only thing about that though... is I'd prefer smaller event days to actually be near the mouse on the Y axis instead of 10 pixels from top of page.

Have you tried making the pop-up window wider to allow more information per line?

what takes up most of the space is the
single day event line (and the annoying trial message of course).
The lines are very minimal... 400 pixels wide is more than enough for the 1 line of flight scheduling information.
If the code was editable to not show Single day event and that extra space below it... it can save a lot of room.
I also want to impliment a search feature on the TOC calendar without having to login to events section.
And 1 possible feature i'd like to do is. Make this Flight Schedule friendly, so like... if the category select = flightplan.. the forum gives you fields for entering flight plan info.
Callsign, Aircraft Type, Departure airport (ICAO code), departure time, arrival (ICAO), arrival time.
Menu with options (Scheduled, On Time, Departing, Enroute, Delayed, Cancelled, Landed.)
I'd probably be able to impiment these items myself... but looks like you guys are the only ones who can modify this.
(That's the last feature I'll be needing - So I wont be overwhelimg you guys with all this stuff :tounge_sm )
I'd send you pm with link... but just look up my ip and add /poiu/calendar to view my calendar

Oh I do have 1 more thing. Does this support more than 20 user accounts (all of which are moderators)
Is there a account thats non-moderator ... because at least 100 people will be using this thing. But is there a way to create a account that can ONLY add events... not edit events.

You can disable this feature in the Setup Manager by changing the Footer Date Type on the Pop-ups screen.

This feature isn't currently available. But you may can write this feature since it would just query the SQL database.

Understandably, this would make the implementation easier for you, however this feature is currently beyond the scope of what the calendar is designed to do.

Currently 20 users is the limit and they are all full moderators. Version 7 which will be released some time next year will have multiple levels of users and will not be constrained to 20 users. (The category system just underwent a similar upgrade).

Ok I got a good one this time
how can I modify the font sizes on the onclick popup only?
It doesn't take the regular popup menu sizes... which is the one i don't want to adjust.
I'm also using a custom named esstyles.css file.. and it's looking for that file.
I want to make the onclick text size bigger for easier to read.. while keeping the onmouseover text small.
Brian

The pop-ups share the same CSS so the sizes will be the same.

08-23-2005, 11:41 PM
Add that to the feature list. Ability to use non-default css files.
For now.. I'll just edit the original esstyle.css file... and the esstyle2.css file i got running.. i will keep small. But I believe when logged into events.. it will use the default esstyle.css file. But I'll just keep it like that on that calendar for now.
Edit: Check my calendar myip/poiu/calendar for a example of this in progress. To see how it can be an advantage for you guys.
