I am planning to install this on a mambo site. Right now, we are using a test site on a different domain, but in the next few days we will go live on the real domain. Is that a problem with the license, since I read that it uses the domain information? If I can move the site to a new domain, will I have to do something to modify the license?
Brian is caught in the hurricane Katrina mess so I'll answer this for him by copying one of his prior responses to the same question.
All you need to do is copy the files to the new server and update the paths in the calendar.php file.
Then open a support ticket with your order number and I'll issue a new license key for the new site.I've done this with several sites and it really is quick and easy. Brian provides outstanding support and advises us whenever he can predict a delay in response as he did with his announcement here http://www.easilysimplecalendar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3889

So this means... If I retire from hosting (my server) the calendar and send it to the main server hosting everything else, along with a backup of the sql calendar data, I could transfer the calendar from my domain to their domain for free with a new license key? And does that expire the license on the server it's currently working on?
Because this might end up being even better if we decide to move it from my server to their server. Even though currently my uptime is 100% (Powered by APC's UPS. Power went out yesterday from the storms that Hurrican Katrina started and I never noticed :tounge_sm) to there 99.95% :tounge_sm

The short answers are yes and yes... All you'd have to do after all is said and done, is to rerun the setup manager for the paths to update automatically (or do it manually).

I'm glad to hear that this is easy to do!
Okay, so what exactly do I do to get a new key? Send a message somewhere? Post here? I did actually move my site, but of course it is complicated. Nonetheless it would be very helpful if I could make the calendar work! I totally understand if Brian is still affected by Katrina.

All you have to do is open a ticket (http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/support/index.php) for Brian to action this as soon as he can. The link can be found in the Support area at the top of every page.
