Hi there,

I definitely like the clean and ***y style of EasyPHPCalendar. Also it has most of the features I actually need -- but lacks a few I can't live without.

Why am I writing this? To let you know what features are a definite MUST for any future release:

1) Different permissions for members
Members can only edit/delete their own events. You should be able to see who posted the event.

2) Participate
I want members to be able to participate in an event. The poster of the event can limit the number of participants and is able to contact them. Events that you participate in are highlighted/iconed (similar to how vBulletin does this with threads you posted in). Maybe add a "My participations" link somewhere on the page.

3) Non-popup
There should be a non-popup (non-onmouseover) version of the daily view. Just click on the day and you see the event in the main window.

4) Better integration of TOC
Maybe this is already integrated but I did not find it. If members log in you currently see three "small months". I would like them to see the current month as TOC and the previous and future month as "small months".

5) My events
Add a link to quickly look up events posted by me.

6) Explain colors
Main category is just highlighted in different colors. Somewhere on the page these colors should be explained or - even better - put the category/selection name in front of the title (as it already happens with an additional sub-category). Colors-only are not self-explainatory enough.

You can make a legend of the current colors to place on a page. I've considered having this automatic (and may do so in the future), but you'll have more control over it's layout if it's not.

Regarding 2) Participate
If that's not what you want... how about the possibility to add comments to an event? Again we need advanced member handling for this to work, I guess. But if members could write comments ("I'll join you there") that would pretty much do the job. Could be useful for other purposes, too.

It's a little beyond the scope of what is currently planned for the calendar. You may want to add this to the Feature Requests forum.
