I'm planning for future releases and would like to know which database type you're using...
Update: Just an FYI, it has been decided that Version 7 will be mySQL based only. This will allow us to add many of the advanced user options and some other features that have been requested in the past that the dual database format couldn't support. Version 6 will still be available after Version 7's release for those that do not have access to mySQL or don't require the more advanced features of Version 7. (There is no release date set for Version 7).

I voted MySQL as this is what I use on production sites, but for development, flat-file is great.

I use the flat-file system on both my sites because the SQL didn't work on the version 5 system that I originally installed. Brian, you told me to use the flat file because of a conflict. Should I start migrating to SQL?

I'm just trying to get some information about general usage.
Flat-file support will remain in Version 6. :)

Is the flatfile format encrypted at all? I can't imagine using anything other than MySQL or a similar SQL DB.

The actual flat-file database file isn't encrypted.

I'm using the flatfile and notice a real lag time while the page is loading for the popups to show. Is using the db faster than the flatfile? (If so, I'll go through setting that up.) Thanks!

mySQL will be the better solution with larger databases (less calculations).

Is there a way to easily convert to SQL without having to re-enter all the events? We have a pretty big flat-file database and it would be tedious to re-enter everything.

Not currently. There should be an option in the next major release to allow for this.
