I have version 5 running for my workgroup. I am interested in upgrading, but am wondering if I can keep my old escal databases in tact, and just point the new scripts to the old database. Can this work ?

I have a script that I can run on your database to convert it to Version 6.

thanks a lot Brian.. could you tell me how i might be able to leave my current working version up & running while I make a copy of the database and put up the version 6 (beta-for us) version

i just need to make sure it's up, working and looks right before taking down the version 5 calendar.

I'm mainly interested in the text on calendar layout! (it's awesome!)

I'm going to go ahead and purchase the calendar (i paid for the full unlocked version of 5 - without copyright , etc.).. is it possible you could look up my order for me ? cappiels@mskcc.org

You should be able to use the order lookup system on the support page. :)

email account djbeta@tagnyc.com

i don't have access to receiving those emails.. so i paid the full price

Hi Brian,

I have upgraded from 5 to 6 and would like to run the db convert script you mention as Lewiston Hockey would like all their old event data to be present in new 6 cal. How do I go about doing this? Send you table? You send me script? Please advise. Thanks, Nick

Hi Brian,

I actually have 2 version 5 databases that I'd like to pull into 1 version 6 database. I am pretty familiar with MySQL, but could use a few pointers on how to do this.. could you help ?

thanks,
Steven

Open a support ticket and attach your database.

Are they currently in mySQL format?

yes.. they are
both in MySQL format
on the same MySQL server right now.

we used one occurrence of v5 calendar for dept. events and another occurrence for job candidate events... now that we can color code categories, we can pull both into one calendar ... one of the v5 databases will be category 1 another will be category 2 (hopefully) :-)

Open a support ticket and attach dumps of you databases and I'll see what I can do.
