Hello,

I have used the auto install and the files are on the server. When I view the front end the page says "Please Configure database connection using setup manager before using event manager".

Do I need to manually set up a the database? If so Where is the .sql and database name, ect.

F.Y.I : I was able to add a user in the Admin.

Thanks,
DMH

Just use the Setup Manager and click on the Database link. Select the database type and enter the connection information then click Save Changes. If the connection information is correct, the calendar will prompt you to click a link that will automatically create the calendar table in the database.

By adding the databse name, user and pass will the setup manager just add the new table to the database or will it delete the info already in the datbase that is being used by other applications?

Thanks,

It will only add a new table for the events. If the table already exists, it shouldn't prompt you to create it.

This is the error I'm receiving, "tablename.epc_calendar does not exist" also it says that the connection to the databse was successful.

Thanks,

Did you click the link to create database table (setupSQL.php) or do you see that as an option in the Setup Manager?

IN the Admin I choose

>>Database
>> Filed in Fields
>> "use my SQL database for events "Yes"
>> Use Flat file "NO"
>> Name of databse file "caldat"
>> Save changes

Thanks,

Can you open a support ticket with the URL and login for your setup manager?
