I have a question, even though I feel I already know the answer...Anyways, here goes...

Is there a way to have "default" text in the Details Box on the Add Event page...?

I am wanting to set up an account where people can sign up and post events, but I'm wanting a specific format...

I would like to have the following appear in the Details box and they post their info next to it...

Bands: (Their Text would Go Here)
Venue: (Their Text would Go Here)
Cost: (Their Text would Go Here)
Ages Admitted: (Their Text would Go Here)
Other Info: (Their Text would Go Here)

Right now I don't have any of the WYSIWYG editors installed...and I'm getting tired of copying the e-mail submissions that I receive...

my site is...

http://www.localmetal.com/home.php

and I have one of the calendar formats up...along with a Show Submission function...which is sent to my email...then I copy and Paste to the Add Events...but am looking to get rid of...

These features are beyond the current scope of Version 6. They are on the wish list for the next major release (expected in the first half of 2006).

I think you'll be pleased with Version 7 when it becomes available. :)

You could modify your form so that it sends the information to the database that the calendar uses, that way you can format what you want appearing in the event details. I don't know if you're using categories, but you could send those events to an "Incoming" category that would be hidden from the public. Then you'd only have to login to the event manager and change the category to the public one and tweak whatever little mistakes or whatever else...

It should be easy enough if you have a good understanding of PHP and mySQL databases.

If you would like my help to implement this, I can do it for a small hourly fee.
