can someone show me a template of how to display just the current month as an image with the events popping up as the curser hovers over the day? Also when someone clicks on that image I want them to be taken to my mail cal page which is here

I think what you're looking for is the $epcAltLink command line variable (http://docs.easyphpcalendar.com/source/Customize/CommandLineVariables.htm). Unsure if you can still enable the mouse-over popups with this though.
