Minimizing downtime on website move

Hi there - I have a simple and maybe 'dumb' question.
We are moving our website to a larger system and finally updating to the newest release of the calender. We will request a new license for the new IP. I was curious, by getting a new license key will this invalidate the old key?

I know that it will take a couple of hours for DNS to share our new IP with the world. So I just want to verify that the old web server with its older event calendar will be still working, before we pull the plug on the old IP.

The problem is now the license only works for 63.134.242.43.
I thought the license key is tied to domain name and IP.

So www.islandwood.org (http://www.islandwood.org) gets the Invalid License Key error.
we moved our website from 216.119.92.11 >> 63.134.242.43.

Thanks in advance. I cannot open a support ticket since the account is registered by the person who purchased this, even though I am manage it.

You can open a support ticket. Look in the license.php file for your order number. :)
