Hey all,

Has anybody tried to install this on a network solutions server?

A little background - last Spring - I tried to run the tester file on an NS server and it came back negative for both the loaders.

I talked to both EasyPHP and Network Solutions and NS said they would look at it.

I just ran the tester again and it works for IONCUBE.

But when I ran ioncube/ioncube-loader-helper.php?page=rtl-tester I got this result:

Testing Server
Testing whether your system supports run-time loading...
Looking for Loader 'ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so'
Extensions Dir: /usr/services/vux/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429 (NOT FOUND)
Results
The directory set for the extension_dir entry in the php.ini file may not exist, and run time loading will not be possible.
Instructions
Please ask your hosting provider or system administrator to create the directory
/usr/services/vux/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429
ensuring that it is accessible by the web server software. They do not need to restart the server. Then rerun this script. As an alternative, your host could install the Loader in the php.ini file.

My question is: Do I need to call Network Solutions and explain all this? Or does it look like I am doing something wrong?

Thanks!
tg

This means that NS will need to allow run-time extensions, or install the ionCube/Zend loader in php.ini.

Again, it looks like you're at the mercy of NS still... :(

But - the original tester said it works for IONCUBE - so does that mean they have permitted IONCUBE use and I just have to tell them what to do - or does it mean that it is most likely it won't work?

Not being a programmer by trade, and this would be a purchase for a not-for-profit - I want to make sure I extinguish all my avenues before I look somewhere else.

You should forward the ionCube loader-helper test results to NS. They will need to do this at the server level.

I will call them and see what I can do. If i singlehandedly get them to do this - someone will owe me a lunch!

: ^)

Nice Mustang by the way. My kid loves mustangs. I drove a '73 in high school ('82)

Thanks. :)

The sad part is that my wife has claimed the Mustang and now I drive the Toyota Highlander. :(

But, every now and then she'll let me drive her somewhere in the 'stang. :bigsmiley

I am waiting to hear back from Network Solutions.

Two other quick things:

1 - you may want to change your purchase agreement to specify that even though the tester file may work - you really need to install the trial version to make sure. This is a perfect example of that exception.

2 - on your "Buy Now" page - you misspelled "purchase"

1 - You can't purchase the script unless you check the red box stating that you have run the trial on your server first. It then pops up a box that tells you the same thing. And, the test script plainly states this as well. Additionally, the license agreement states the same.

2 - This has been this way for a very long time. :ugh: Fixed now! :)
