Fatal error: This encoded file is corrupted.

When I try to install the calendar on my server I get the following:
Fatal error: This encoded file is corrupted.

I just uploaded the files from a fresh download. How and why would they be corrupted?

The files must be uploaded in binary mode. You would need to select this manually in your FTP program before uploading.

If you were using the auto-installer, there may be an issue with how it interacts with your server and you should manually upload the files via FTP.
