Hello,
I want to install Easy PHP Calendar on my site at http://www.___.com/downtown/events.htm and http://www.___.com/congress/events.htm but have been unsuccessful. These are the steps that I've taken so far:
- Downloaded the test script, unzipped and uploaded all files to "htdocs/tester/" directory on the live server.
- Ran the compatibility test script, which failed the Zend Optimizer test but passed the ionCube Loader test, and showed that the server is compatible. Downloaded the trial version auto-installer straight from the test script page.
- Ran the auto-installer to set up "htdocs/calendar/". During the installation I got a pop-up: "Application files have now been uploaded and installed. However, an ionCube Loader is needed by Easy PHP Calendar in order to run. Your server does not permit the automatic installation of this component. A page has been uploaded..." After opening the page in my browser, the Install Wizard completed with "A problem occurred during installation. You may run this installer again to complete the tasks."
- I don't have access to php.ini on the live server, so I followed the run-time loading installation instructions. The page that I got is at http://www.twarr.com/_public/1.gif.
- Went to www.ioncube.com and downloaded, ran the installer circled at http://www.twarr.com/_public/2.gif.
- Installed ionCube to "htdocs/ioncube/".
- Ran Easy PHP Calendar auto-installer again, picking up from the previous install. I chose to overwrite the previously installed folders/files (it wouldn't let me proceed otherwise). IMPORTANT: I noticed on the "Ready to Install" information screen the following: "ionCube Loaders installed: no" (see http://www.twarr.com/_public/3.gif).
- Perhaps not surprisingly, when the Easy PHP Calendar auto-installer was done again, I got the same "Application files have now been uploaded and installed. However, and ionCube Loader is needed..." error and "A problem occurred during installation..."
The issue that I'm seeing is that the ionCube Run-Time Loading Installation Instructions page that was uploaded to my live server is asking for the loader file "ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so" - and while I can see it there on the live server, in a seemingly appropriate directory (as suggested by http://www.ioncube.com/loader_installation.php), it's not being recognized for some reason. When I try to run the calendar setup, I get the error message shown at http://www.twarr.com/_public/4.gif.
Please let me know if you can provide any help; I can't figure out how to proceed from here.
Thanks in advance!
Troy
