I have a calendar installed and working in a subdomain. But now I would like to have it work on the main domain. I installed the files on the main domain but my setup manager will not open. I changed permissions, etc. In addition, I need a little direction on how to use one database for both. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Without an error message or a URL to see what's happening, I'm shooting in the dark... but I'll guess corrupted files in the transfer. Try uploading the files again.

To use the same database for both, set the mySQL settings the same (can't use flat-file to do this).

Thanks for your responses and help. I now have it installed and licensed but when I try to access my database at central.showpig.com from my new showpig.com calendar I get the following error:

There was an error connecting to the mySQL database.

The error was reported as:

Access denied for user: '*********@localhost' (Using password: YES)

I do have two separate PMAs for the domain and the sub, is that the problem?

What's a PMA?

You'll need to be able to set both SQL connections to point to the same database to share the events.

I guess that your problem is with permissions at the database level. If you're trying to use two different users, they will both need to have the same access level. The easier way is just to use one user for the connection.
