My host informed me that the Zend Optimizer is in fact installed on my server. It is located at usr/local/zend/lib and within that folder are ZedOptimizer43X.so; ZedOptimizer44X.so; ZedOptimizer50X.so; and ZedOptimizer51X.so.

Where is it supposed to be? Where can I edit my calendar files to find the correct location?

Sincerely,
Brina

I'm not quite sure from your post what your issue is?

Where can I edit my calendar files to find the correct location?

Zend Optimizer is installed at the server level. There is not a way (and no need) to tell the calendar where it is.

I get the message:

Zend Optimizer not installed

When I go to the setup screen. Not sure how I can be more clear as to what the problem is.

Thanks

This is a server error and not directly related to the calendar.

Even though Zend Optimizer may be installed, it's not properly configured or operating correctly.

We are not able to provide server support, but Zend should be able to help. Their web site is http://www.zend.com/support

Easy this script is not. I will not be purchasing. My host provider has assured me that Zend is properly configured.

Perhaps you should change the name of this script to HARDER-THAN-**** PHP Calendar. Just my two cents.

I'm sorry you're having the problem with your web host.

Again, the error you see is from the server, not from the calendar. The calendar can not execute without Zend (or ionCube). So the server is telling you that Zend is not running... nothing to do with the calendar itself.

There are several reasons your host can't run Zend properly, but troubleshooting this is beyond our range of support here, but the Zend web site has information that may be useful in properly configuring the server.

Have you tried the tester to confirm that the calendar can in fact run with Zend? Have you tried the ionCube version?

Hello,
Hoping someone can help me.
I have three calendars and the users really like them. Now I am migrating to a new server that has Zend ver 1.3.0 on it. I had been using ionCube for the calendars. I did see in the forums that to change over I should 'update' for it to start using Zend. Does this mean I need to download the Zend version of the calendar and install it and 'update' through an option in it?

I was wondering about the version of Zend needed as it can't be found. I saw in one thread maybe the phpinfo setting can cause a problem but still not sure if Zend ver 1.3.0 will work. I looked on the Zend site and saw a Zend 3 Optimizer, is that needed, it says works for PHP 5 but I don't have that on the new server right now. (I am confused about the parts of Zend. ) :-)

----tester script reported: ---------
* A compatible version of Zend Optimizer could not be found on this server. In order to run the EasyPHPCalendar, your web host provider should install the latest version of Zend Optimizer on the server (or the server must have passed the ionCube Loader test). Zend Optimizer is free and more information can be found at www.zend.com.

* It seems this server is configured in such a way that it would not be possible to run the scripts using the ionCube Loader. The Testing Results above may provide additional information. If the Zend Optimizer test was successful, you can still run the EasyPHPCalendar.

Zend needs to be installed at the server level. 1.3.0 is not suitable for the calendar. You need version 2.5.5 or later. Are you the administrator of this new server as you will need root access to update it? If not, contact your host to see if they will upgrade it for you.

It also seems that you've been using an old version of the tester. Please use the newest version available here (http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/freeDownload.php).

Thank you very much! No, I am not the administrator. I will ask them about upgrading, I really would hate to have to use another program after using this program. It is great!
