I attempted to upgrade to 6.3.24 from 6.3.23. Something went wrong. When trying to access the index.php file

The page returns the message: Server Path Error.
Please run the Setup Manager to correct this problem.

When I try to access setupmanager, the return is:

i have gotten into setup manager now - am working on this

Sure -
I didn't change permissions for calendar.php when ftp(ing) the updated files. The calendar correctly instructed me to correct the problem via setup mgr. I tried to access setup mgr from a bookmark which took me to events/index.php, where I received the second error page. So after my distress call to you, I went back and got into setup mgr via calendar/setup.
Once in setup mgr, I was impressed by the program's diagnosis of the problem and the clear solution.
