Can't get passed the index.php

I can't get in to set up manager. I was sure to confirm that the files were forced uploaded in Binary and I can access the index.php page but I can't go beyond that into set up or anything.. however this is the demo install. I wanted to see if I can get it to work before I purchase it.

The error message is your server reporting that the file doesn't exist.

Did you use the auto-installer or manually upload the files?

I did a manual install because using ioncube I kept getting this error asking for the package location of the install.. I couldn't find anything in the FAQ on it... and I unzipped the zip file and transferred everything within the zip to the web.. is there something else I could be missing?
