Copy categories from one calendar to another

Is it possible to copy the file that contains the category set up from one calendar to another completely unrelated calendar without crashing anything?

I have a new site that is the same exact type as a previous site and will have the same categories. If I could copy a file from one to other, it would save a lot of time.

I've already tried it with the config file to find myself not able to log in - so I reinstalled.... :o

You can copy the categories, but if you have existing events, you may need to re-enter them as the new categories may not match up.

I didn't have any events in the new calendar and don't want any from the other site because they will be different.

I figured out to copy these lines from the config file and it worked:
$epcCategories= ...
$epcCategoryColors= ...
