Sure! You can use the Text-on-calendar Mode:

Ok I went to that link and clicked on the Text-on-calendar Mode but all I saw was the same calendar look. I would like to have the upcoming events of certain category on the side of my site like

Jan 24 some title from 10 - 11:30
Jan 26 some title from 1- 2
Jan 27 some title from 1- 2

with the roll over effect to show more details and if they clicked on the link have the pop up window.

maybe a small calender look with different category events on it. dont know if I'm explaining my self well but thank you for the reply.:confused:

You can combine the Text-on-calendar mode with the list mode to produce the desired output and filter either or both by the category of your choice. Or you can add the Filter plugin to allow visitors to filter by the category of their choice.

ok I'll take your word for it but is there documentation on how to get it done? or is a template that I need to do and call should I call it via SSI or PHP include?
