View Full Version : Alignment of Calendar in WP Page
Hi,
I was able to integrate a calendar into a WP Page thanks to a thread "Integrating into a Page" started by Susan. I found the info to be most helpful. Thanks to all who added their suggestions/instructions.
The calendar seems to work fine but it is always to the left of the WordPress Page (regardless of which mode is being used). Is there a way to center the calendar on the Page? I have looked for a answer to this problem but am coming up empty? I do have html and css knowledge but not php although I am slowly learning!
Thanks kindly for any suggestions.

Do you have a link to your installation? You should be able to add it to a DIV that you've center aligned... If you did so but it didn't work, it is usually because of conflicting CSS in your theme.
With a link we should be able to figure it out.
Hi,
Thanks for responding. This is a practice web site - I am helping a computer friend (who is not really familiar with WP) work on some design ideas. If the content doesn't make a lot of sense - we really aren't going bonkers. :)
The link to the site is:
http://www.homegail.net/wordpress
Click on 'Community Calendar' to see the calendar.
Thanks again.

Where you define the DIV for the calendar, just add the align="center", so that the line looks like this <div id="easyCalendar" align="center">
Good Morning,
That fixed the problem. :teeth_smi
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi Again,
I wasn't sure if I should submit a support ticket or just keep on in this thread - I do have a question now re license.
Now that I have the calendar integrated into WordPress on my domain name - I would like to get it working properly on the domain name where I first set it up. I believe it is still the trial version. I did not install the calendar in the WP directory - I would like to uninstall the calendar and start fresh (put the calendar in the WP directory). If I do this - will I run into any issue with the license? I tried renaming the directory and then moving it to the WP directory but this posed more problems than it was worth. This is why I would like to start fresh - the domain name is odessarecord.com
Thanks for your response.

I'm guessing you have a licence for each site? If so there should be no problem.
Here's a few scenario:
1- You never modified anything, haven't installed the license... then no problem, simply delete the folder and reinstall in the proper location
2- Have only played with some settings and installed the license... still no problem, backup your license.php file and then delete the folder and reinstall in the proper location. Restore your license.php before completing the Setup and then re-do the settings changes.
3- You've already made tons of modifications, the license is in there, themes have been tweaked, templates were made to fit your site - you went the whole nine yards... still no problem! :) Just use an FTP application (not Dreamweaver or FrontPage) and transfer the folder [using forced Binary mode] to your computer, and then transfer it back to the correct location. Once the transfer is completed, run the Setup Manager to update the paths automatically.
That should cover pretty much everything.
If you are having problems with your license, open a Support Ticket for Brian to look at.
Hi,
Sorry to be slow in responding to you. I discovered after posting, the trial license for my friend's domain name had just expired so I Emailed him to get further direction. He has decided to leave this particular web site alone for the time being due to unforeseen circumstances (illness and hospitalization of the older gentleman who runs the newspaper). He is waiting until fall to see what has transpired with the management of the newspaper so things are on the back burner right now for an Online Newspaper.
My friend has purchased a license for another domain name (the Chamber web site of his small town) and I will be purchasing a license for my domain name so I am sure we may have more questions down the road. We are looking forward to seeing Version 7.
As always, thanks for your time.
