Hello!

I've been searching all over to find good calendar software and so far, EPC looks awesome. However, I'm a little overwhelmed at how it works and some of the features so I'm hoping you'll be willing to bear with me and help me with a few questions.

First of all, if I understand it correctly, EPC is a standalone calendar that can be integrated into different CMSs (such as Mambo, Joomla, Wordpress). Is this correct? If so, how difficult is the integration? (I understand from the sticky thread that you don't officially support the integration.)

Secondly, can I have multiple calendars shown on the same page? Maybe I can explain better what I need. I will be adding recurring events for several different locations. As time goes on, I expect the number of locations to expand greatly. I understand that at this point EPC doesn't support filtering based on location so I was wondering if I could simply create different calendars based on location and have all the events shown on a "master calendar". Then I could also have a clickable map that would allow someone to choose the location nearest them and only show the events for that location. Is this feasible without tons of work?

Is it possible to integrate maps of the location of the events somehow into the popups/hover info or into the event information itself (probably using google maps or something similar)?

Last question. Does the single license include any future releases/upgrades? Is it time specific or will the license be good for as long as I use the calendar?

Thanks for creating such a great option for online calendaring! I think I've *finally* found something that will meet my needs - I'm sure hoping so. :)

Thanks in advance!
Rae

There are guides and lots of posts in the CMS integration section of the forums. You should be able to integrate the calendar by following those steps. If you get stuck, you can post there for assistance.

You can filter on location! Just categories in the Setup Manager to set up a Location category and add your locations as selections. Then you can filter by location.

You can add HTML to your event descriptions so you could theoretically add a map (I haven't seen this done before).

Updates to the same version are free. The license is perpetual.

Be sure to download and use the trial to make sure everything works for you before you purchase. :)

Yay! I'm so happy that I can filter based on category/location! thanks so much for that info (and the quick reply!).

I feel rather dumb that I don't fully understand the difference between the updates and license. Does this mean that I can use the software (say at this point version 6 and all the future 6.xx updates) for a perpetual length of time but when version 7 comes out, if I want the new version, there would be some sort of upgrade fee? If so, are there discounts for future version upgrades?

Again, thanks so much for the info and the quick reply! I really appreciate it :)

All the best,
Rae

You got it bang on the nose. All 'updates' are free, 'upgrades' will incur a fee. Although the actual fee is not known as of yet, in the past it was based on the difference in pricing between the old version and the new version with a small service charge added.
