I would like to do 2 things:
1. Can you tell me if it's possible to move the navigation arrows from the bottom to the top...so they're on each side of the month and year.
2. I'd also like to add the word "Events" next to the date and year. Is this possible?

That is not possible. The section of code that generates those parts of the calendar are encrypted and not modifiable.

You could name your Months "Events for January", "Events for February", etc...
