Hi there,
It's me again :)

when I add a Paypal encrypted button to my Event descript, it throws the whole event awry....does not actually add the button.

I have HTML enabled and XSS disabled. What am I missing?

thanks in advance

Do you have an HTML editor? Sometimes those will screw around with what you add as they have a list of html tags that are accepted. Also, if you're looking at it in the popups, you'll have to increase the character limit to allow for all the text and the code for the button, as if the description exceeds that limit, it strips out all HTML and only leaves the plain text.

I'm copying and pasting directly from Notepad into the Event Manager.

This is an encrypted button, which means there's something like 4,000 characters...is this type of payment button not possible and if not what other options should I implement? sorry to be such a dunce, honestly !

I meant for your Event Manager... there's the option of installing an HTML Editor (TinyMCE, Spaw, or HTMLArea). It doesn't come with one by default.

I don't remember anyone else having problems with adding those PayPal buttons, but I also don't remember anyone using them.

Do you have a link to where your events are posted? I'd like to see what happens to the description.

Hi - sorry, no, I do not have any of the HTML editors installed.

Here's a link, see the first event in the list...

This is a shot in the dark, but can you try to turn off the option "Convert Links in HTML" as that's what seems to be messing with the PayPal code.

It may be a special URL encoding that messing with the PayPal code. I'll try to create one and see what happens.

With the convert links option still off, re-paste the code in the event. If you had the option enabled before, any links that were added were converted at that time. You will need to either create a new event, or edit the event and re-paste the code to fix it.
