So close, and yet, so far.
I'm getting this plugin fatal error:
Site error: the file [snip]/wp-content/plugins/calendar/functions/functions.inc.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.
The ionCube loading results say, "Run-time loading should be possible on your system but no suitable Loader was found."
So I loaded the file it's looking for into the public_html file...and still no go.
Can anyone help????
Thanks,

The loader (for run-time loading) should be in the calendar/ioncube directory.

Brian,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, it's also in the directory you specified. It's still not found.
I'm checking my host to see if the answer lies there.
Thanks,

Brian,
On 06-26-2008, 06:02 PM ve9gra responded to Barb with the identical problem with this:
"You should contact your host as this usually requires a modification to your php.ini. They would have the settings that you'll need. Sometimes you have a php.ini of your own and it overrides the server's options, and if it's not configured properly, this can happen."
If you could please give me some more information about what I need to request that my host do, I'd be most appreciative.
Thanks!

There is a test file in your calendar/ioncube directory that they should run. It will tell them exactly what they need to do.

Brian,
I just wanted to give closure to this in case it helps someone else.
It turns out that with GoDaddy, my host, they have Zend installed already. The catch is, you must use PHP4. Once I changed the PHP version, the Zend installer worked like a charm. (Leave the path empty and it automatically installs to the root.)
Thanks!

I'm getting the same error message as elmalako when I try to go to my calendar page, but when I went to my cPanel folder for the calendar I cannot find any iconCube folder.... When I went through the installation process though I used the iconCube installer because that's what I was told to use during the testrun (it said iconCube was installed), and I have PHP5 something.
Any ideas what I can do? I've been trying to make this work for hours and it simly won't... Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

It's ionCube, and the folder should be in /calendar/ioncube/
There is a possibility that even though the Tester said it was compatible, that it really isn't. That's why there is a disclaimer in the ionCube section that says it might require additional steps to make it work. Only your server administrator would be able to confirm if "dynamic loading" is allowed, which is what is required by ionCube.
If you do not have an ionCube folder at all in your /calendar folder, then you'll have to reinstall the calendar package, as there are files missing.
