Hello

I am trying to decide whether or not to purchase EasyPHPcalendar. So far I like what I see but have some questions:

(a) Is it possible to limit event users to modify ONLY events that they have created (i.e. not touch events that other users have created)

AND

(b) I need to have MANY users and would like to store their login and other information in a database rather than in config.inc.php. Is that easily doable? And if so what do I need to do? I am wondering if that facility is already built into the script.

Thank you very much
Andrew

Both a) and b) are not possible. Version 7 will have a completely different user system which will save all its info in a database and should do both of those requests by default.

Merci Gervais mais...

When will version 7 be available? This is a crucial function for me. Although I may be able to modify the system myself for my purposes I am not keen to hack someone else's code and from what I can tell the calendar has all the features I am looking for (in terms of repetition and floating events etc). It is also very much a question of time for me.

Thank you so much for your prompt help.

The release date is unknown... you can check out Version 7 - Everything you wanted to know! (http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5421) as that is where the most recent information is released.

You wouldn't be able to add those functions yourself as the calendar is encrypted to protect the intellectual property. You can only modify things in the /theme/, /templates/, and /plugins/ folders. Everything else is protected.

Yes of course. Thanks for your response. I guess I will have to wait or find another system.

All the best
