View Full Version : General question about change of host
Hello and good morning (or whatever it may be for some). I have just taken over my companys web site and we are changing our host. I just wanted to double check before hand that the installation of this script is tied to the website name (i.e. www.mysite.com (http://www.mysite.com)) and not anything outside of that. I am getting ready to change over the DNS resolution so it points to the revamped webpage that i have been working on, but I wanted to check before to make sure that there was nothing that I was going to have to do in order for it to work besides the DNS resolution. So basically when the DNS servers point to the right place and the new host is being called on for www.mysite.com (http://www.mysite.com) the calendar will just begin to function correctly again. Am I correct in this thought process?

It is tied to the domain name. But there are some settings on a server that can make a license invalid when moving. If you do get a license key error. Just click the Help link in the error and follow the instructions to get an updated key.
And make sure the paths are correct after the move, see my Paths FAQ below.
Well on the same token, the license key is registered to the person who built this website and since I am taking it over, how would I get the email address changed so that I may do what I need to as far as tickets or anything else goes?

Thanks your making this so much easier! Sorry pressed for time (new site release is due tomorrow) and I have a lot to do to get ready for it.
Another question, is the license key tied to weather or not the css displays correctly with the calendar, because I am getting the display error of no colors or anything else displaying with the calendar and its telling me about the license key error.

That's a path issue. (Paths FAQ below). :)
Well for anyone else who runs into this, here is a direct link to the issue resolution to what the latest problem was..
