Category Color select disappeared!

I'm trying to create categories and selections but the ability to define a colour seems to have disappeared!

Help!

Looks like you've deleted the primary category. The easiest way to fix this is to change the id column in the database to "1" of the category you want to be the primary. Or, run the installation again and it should re-create it for you.

I'm reluctant to reinstall. Seemed to take me ages to get it to work. Can you elaborate on the database change please? I'm authoring from a mac so I assume I'll need phpMy admin to make the change?

You may have been having problems with the setup because the install wasn't completed successfully. If you haven't intentionally deleted the main category, I would be worried that other bits are missing...

Can you outline what problems you've encountered and the steps that you did to attempt to resolve them?

Got the host to scrap the database and create a new one. Reinstated the intall folder and ran again. Seem to have a default colour but how do I select colours for the new catagories/selections I have created. Sorry if I'm being dull here.

had these errors when uploading via ftp (binary). Don't know whether these are related to the category color problems......

Currently you only have the Default selection under the main Category. You would need to add additional selections under that category to be able to choose them and their colors. Only the main category can have colors assigned to it. (Otherwise, events would have multiple colors which would be difficult to display properly or in an organized manner).

If you need to find the color codes, just search the web for color picker and use the 6-digit color code most of them provide.
