Default repeating events not showing in event manager

Weird problem I'm encountering in v6.3.11 operating in PHP 4.3.11 and w/ mySQL 4.0.25-standard:

If I enter a new event on a future date and set it to repeat (not float) every 1 week, it will show in calendar, popup and demo -- but it will NOT show in the event manager listing.

If I edit the event to not repeat, or to repeat in months or years, it shows up in event manager. Or if I leave it as a repeating weekly event and change the original date to a PAST date, it will show up in event manager as well -- though with unpredictable results (e.g. won't actually repeat indefinitely).

Suggestions to work around this? Bug?

Is this a new install? Upgrade?

Having Same Problem

Default Having Same Problem

I am having the same problem, but I first noticed it because the events do not show up in list view. (Which would make sense because I am guessing that's what Event Manager is using.) Past events do, if you don't use any list view options and just have it show the current month's events. I can only get Monthly repeats to show, not daily, weekly, or yearly.

I am using 6.2.12. I don't know on the php or mysql, as I am not the programmer that set it up -- or a programmer at all for that matter!. I just have enough logic/programming skills to get by and usually make it do what I want it to do. Glad to see I'm not the only one with the problem, as I thought I was going crazy last night trying to make it work. Is this fixed in 6.3.13? I hadn't seen anyone else with the problem, so I didn't know if you were aware of it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
Tami

This was caused by incorrect paths in the calendar.php file because a temporary domain was being used. It should be working once this is fixed.

I have taken the symbolic links into account and based on advice received for another issue, have set paths exactly as prescribed in the other thread (absolute for URL path). Still no go (ie. weekly repeating events still not showing).

The domain gets transferred to the hosting account in a couple of days -- I'll report changes if any at that time.

I see the events in your event manger. They show up every Monday on the calendar and in the listing below.

You may want to try clearing your browser's cache and see if that helps.

I read your responses to eshutter and I am not using symbolic paths.

To further define this glitch:
I have an event starting mid-jan that repeats weekly 8 times. In event manager when viewing from the current month (dec.) and also when jan. is the selected month, the event does not show up in the list view at the bottom. If I go forward to feb or mar, the event then suddenly shows up in the list (you can see previous, current, and next month in the list). And I have cleared the cache and switched browsers and still have the same problem. Any ideas?

I have a fix for this that needs to be tested. If you are experiencing this issue, please open a support ticket and state the encoder version you're using and I will send you the test file.
