Default events saved in database, but not showing in calendar

In the forum I have found some issues concerning the same problem, but none of them helped me out. So I am posting a new thread.

During the use of the demo and the upgrade to the full license everything worked fine (6.3.24.). So I started "implementing". At some point after changing from flatfile to database, suddenly no events were being displayed. This was the same after changing back to flatfile. I changed back to database to see how the events were stored. There seems to be nothing wrong; the entered events are stored, auto-incremented. I think there may be something wrong with the DATE-field, which isn't stored but even changing back to flatfile doesn't help, although the entered data is stored in the flatfile.
Somewhere along the track I must have done something wrong, but I cannot find which incorrect settings cause the problem.

Who can help me out?

After changing database type, did you completely log out then log back in to edit events?

(99.9% of the time, this problem is due to an invalid/expired trial license key.)

I think I did; upgrading the order number and logging off. I am not sure though.
After noticing the problems I have deleted the database, put it back up. Perhaps the problem is that I have inserted rows of the old Easily Simple Calender (which is indeed a lot simpler hahaha) into the database. That is why I was afraid that the auto_increment was off, but it is not.

What if I did not log off, which steps should I take?
Thanks for responding so quickly btw.

Version 6 is not compatible with Version 5's database. The date formats are not the same (along with many other major changes).

What happens if you do a fresh install?

I was trying to avoid a fresh install; it has been too timeconsuming already. But as I said, even switching back to flatfile doesnt help. The data is written to the file, but the calendar still says that there are no entries.

Any other last suggestions before a fresh install?

And if I understand correctly: I cannot import the addresses into the new database? I may have missed this in the information that is provided with the installation guidelines etc., but I must say that I assumed that would be of no problem. It would amaze me if I cannot use the data. But, heck, that is another thing.

Again, Version 6 is not compatible with Version 5's database. The date formats are not the same (along with many other major changes).

There was never enough interest in a converter so one was never written.

There is no way the old database format will work with Version 6. You need to delete the database completely and let Version 6 create a new one (no need to upload all of the files again).

Okay, I deleted and reinstalled the database. This indeed solved the problem. I thought I had encountered the same problem before importing the data, but apparently I was wrong. Sorry!!!

Thanks for you help.
