Lightbulb Changing Calendar Day Links

I was wondering if there is a way to edit the links that are dynamically generated by the calendar?

For instance the calendar goes to "index.php?ev=2454526&mo=2&yr=2008"

Is there anyway to change that to an absolute URL, like "http://www.somedomain.com/index.php?ev=2454526&mo=2&yr=2008"

Thank you,
Hunter

If you're having problem with how the calendar resolves the name of the file it's integrated in, look into the $thisFile option.

Sorry to be so ignorant, but what can $thisFile do for me?

I love this calendar by the way and so do all of my clients.

Thanks for your time,
Hunter

The $thisFile variable is there to help fix problems with the way the script detects the name of the page it is integrated into. It is normally used to correct the links in the navigation table, but would also be used in your case for the Blog mode's links.

I have never seen it be used to provide an absolute URL, but I have also never tested using it in that way.

Thats pretty interesting actually! So for instance if I were to include the calendar in to a Word Press page with custom permalinking then I might be able to get the links in the calendar itself to function correctly with the permalinking just as long as I specify an absolute URL?

I've read through all of the Word Press threads already and they've had some good info, but man this calendar would really be the bees knees if someone made it functional with custom permalinking.

Do you think it might functional properly with absolute linking?

Thanks again,
Hunter

Totally unsure at the moment. I do not have access to my dev box right now, so I can't test it either.

The problem with using a full URL is that if you add the calendar to your sidebar, that URL has to change... I have plans of looking more into WP as a possible solution for one of my websites, so I might be able to figure out a way to work with permalinks.

Word Press kicks ass if you learn how to use it correctly! Its a great solution for a scalable CMS and already has an awesome tag system. I'm actually going to be putting the calendar and then the inline blog display in the body of a page and not on the sidebar. I will try it out to see if it works, but all I have to do is define the URL in $thisFile = ""; ?

I.E. $thisFile = "http://www.url.com/calendar/calendar.php";

Thanks,
Hunter

Well the path that you'd give it would be the page that you are displaying the calendar in... the file in the URL you gave as an example should never be accessed directly.
