Default Custom Fields/Upload pdf file

I have used your calendar on customers websites in the past and it works great. I have a new customer who I think it might be a good fit for - with one exception. They currently produce pdf flyers for each of their events - and it contains lots of details for their event. I would like to use the calendar so that we can display the many upcoming events on their website - but I don't want them to have to duplicate all the details. I would like the website to have date, time and brief description with a more details type link to the pdf files. Is there a way to do this with the calendar - to associate a file with each event? Is the only way to do it is if I add the html editor?

Thanks
Janice

You can set Allow HTML to yes and add simple links in your descriptions to the PDF file.

Example:

<a href='filename.pdf' target='_blank'>Click Here to open PDF File</a>

Thanks Brian,

If we install either TinyMCE or HTMLArea - will the user then get a link button with a popup?

And would the html editor be able to upload the pdf file as well - or is that something we would have to do separately?

And - which would your recommend - as far a easy to use and reliable - no fancy features required.

I would have no proble enter the html a tag - but the end user would have problems with that.

Thanks
Janice

PS. I know the html editors are not offially supported by EPC.

In my experience, an HTML editor will add a link button. Since these are third party programs, I can't be sure as they may have changed something.

One of the editors may offer an uploader, but I would guess it would be easier to upload separately.
