Default switch from Zend to IonCube?

Hi. I purchased EPC, installed the Zend version, and had it working fine for a week (and i love it). But as of today it seems my host changed something and broke the Zend Optimizer so the calendar is gone, showing that nasty error page.

I asked the host to fix the problem, but if they don't/can't, how do i switch to the IonCube version? Do i need to download, install, and setup all over again? Will i lose my existing data or settings? What about my license.. will that be seamless, or a problem? And why is the Zend version preferred?

Thanks!

You can download the ionCube calendar files then upload just the events, functions, plugins and setup directories (in binary mode).

Thanks for the fast reply Brian!
If I don't hear back from my host soon, i'll try that.. installing the IonCube version.
But it sounds like Zend is "preferred" .. why is that?
If it's important, i might try to pressure my host if they're resisting.

thanks,
todd

Zend can have a slight speed advantage and require less files to run.
