Default Intial setting up

I am new to PHP files, on the older side of the fence and am still trialling Easy Calendar which appears to be very good. Out website, www.teynham.org is a basic HTML type where we link to .../calendar to open up in a frame. This works fine but the header below appears
[ To modify the design/layout of this page, edit the demo.php file. ]
I have found serveral versions of the text when opening various PHP files in Notepad and have deleted it. But it frustratingly still appears. What am I doing wrong? I have a full licence and the calendar shows this to be so.
also we use a Cheery bloson theme as a background. Where do I find the white background theme used to change?
Thank you.

Edit the calendar/demo.php file and remove that text from the file and make sure to upload the changes to the server.

I'm not sure what you mean by "white background theme". If you mean the color of the background on the demo.php file, just edit that file to change it to anything you wish. And again, make sure to upload the changes.

Thank you for your very prompt response.
We use Namo WebEditor and upload with Ipswitch WS_FTP Professional. For the pages in our website we use the theme : background-image:url('nth_theme_exotic_cherryblossoms_bg.gif' ); which is located as root file and is called up by teynham.css.
Pasting this in the below (from the html of demo.php ) results in an error when clicking Setup/Event Manager.

.style1 {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 9px; nth_theme_exotic_cherryblossoms_bg.gif;
}

Any help please?

I don't see how modifying the demo.php can give you an error when going to the managers.

Likely, you're getting the error because the image cannot be found.

If the image file is in the root of the website and the calendar css calling that image file is in a folder (possibly called calendar) then the call would need to know the path to the image file as well as the name of the image file, surely??

You are of course right but even with image file in the calendar folder and the css text:
.style1 {
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 9px; nth_theme_exotic_cherryblossoms_bg.gif;
}

it is not recognised.

I have sorted out the error problem. The cause was, as a beginner, doing to many steps at one time.

Of course it wouldn't be recognized... Simply adding the name of a .gif to a random element doesn't work.

Why don't you simply reference teynham.css in demo, instead of trying to strip out bits of CSS.

Adding teynham.css changes the size of the calendar text, all the background colours and obliterates the white text. So with the benefit of hindsight I best live with it how it is. Txs for all the advice.
