OSX Snow Leopard Server Breaks EPC

I had EPC working fine on a Mac Xserve running 10.5. Then I upgraded to Snow Leopard Server 10.6 and it broke EPC. According to the Tester script EPC should work fine with PHP5/Ioncube, but it doesn't work with any of the EPC versions for PHP 4 or 5 with either Ioncube or Zend. The standard installation of 10.6 includes Zend 2 and no Ioncube. Help!

I have it running on Snow Leopard here, but I disabled the built-in install of Apache and am using Zend Server instead.

I know that Mac's installs are quite customized even though lots of the stuff that's included are coming from the open source world. If you're not afraid of the terminal, and config files, I'm pretty sure that you could get Apache to play nice by enabling run-time-loading so that ionCube can run.
