Default Upgraded from 6 to 7 and have questions about the converting of events

Hello,

My host decided to switch to PHP5 last night with no warning and several of my clients sites broke because of that... mostly because I had the older version of easyphpcalendar.. had they of warned me... anyway...

So today I have been converting clients to version 7... I have 2 done so far.. the first one seems to have worked fine.. all dates are there and everything works..

The second one.. no matter what I do I cannot get the dates from the old calendar to the new one.. I have run the converter several times (it worked on the first site) and nothing..

Is there a way to do this manually through database admin or any other way?

Thanks,
Steve

The converter must be used.

Make sure your group permissions are correct so the events can be viewed.

Thanks Brian... I am logged in as admin and I don't see any dates.. I verified that Admin group has the right to view.. so I am assuming they are not coving over for some reason.. the converter says:
Version 6 database type: mySQL
Conversion has been completed!
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Steve

Was V6 up to date?

Can you see events in the actual database?

You can look in the V6 config file to find the version.

The data would be in the._calendar table.

There was never an official way to import V5 into a V6 database (and the last version of V5 was released 8 years ago). So V5 also won't convert straight to V7 (lots of changes make it difficult).

I think our forum moderator may have had a conversion script at some point. He may chime in here if he can help.

Is there a way to draw the moderators attention to this post?

He'll see it when he comes back to check on things. He's in a different time zone and country than I am...

The converter that I have is to convert V6 from flat-file to mySQL.

According to a few searches, you (Brian) were doing the V5-V6 conversions

Status of database conversion
Upgrade from 5.7 to 6.1
Upgrade from 5 --> 6 seamlessly ???

And according to some of the results, it seemed like you could only convert mySQL databases.

I'm sure that between the two of us, we'll be more than capable to convert it.

You're right! Now, on initial search, I no longer have the converter files (been through several web site revisions since then and removed a lot of unused files). I'll need to dig around in some old archives and see if I can find it...

I think I may have found the converter. Steve, open a support ticket and send me your current database.
