Default error with converter script

Hi Brian,
I was successful using the converter on a different database but today am getting this error:
Step 3: Store Converted Categories and Selections in Version 7 Database

There was an error reported: Duplicate entry '1' for key 'id'

The SQL command was: INSERT into epc7_selections (`id`, `title`, `listOrder`, `color`, `catID`) VALUES (1, 'Library Classroom (30)', '1', '3366F0', '1');

It is a new install of verstion 7. I purged the database of entries and just wanted to transfer the category information to the new site. I looked in the database and there is an entry #1 in the category table so I deleted it and still get the error.

Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you.

Can you tell me what the categories variables are in your version 6 installation from its config file?

$epcCategories="0|Category[0|Library Classroom (30)[1|Link Lab (30)[2|Center Computers (28)[3|Periodical Section (28)[4|Reference Section (32)[5|Circulation Section (22)[6|Before School[7|After School[8|Other[9|-||-1|[3|-||-10|4";

I manually created them for now but have other upgrades and want to be sure I know why I am getting the error.
Thank you.

The only thing I can see that could be happening is that your mySQL user can't run the truncate command to clear the database before it adds in the new information.

Let me know if you run into this again with a different installation and make sure the user has the ability to truncate.

Brian,
It didn't have drop permission so that was probably the reason for the error.
Thank you for the quick response
