Default DreamHost and PHP 5.3.x

This isn't a question, it's hopefully a helpful tip.
I want to upgrade a site to 5.3.x because another package I use (ZenPhoto) prefers that. I think that will necessitate upgrading EPC as well, but ionCube is non-optional for v.7. So I cast about for a while trying how to get the ionCube loader to work and came across this resource:

http://wiki.dreamhost.com/IonCube_Loader

It worked for me. Yay. If you are on DreamHost and have PHP 5.3.x FastCGI enabled, I'd recommend you read this wiki page. One note: I tested it on a disposable sub-domain and at first this didn't work because I was installing the files at the root of the sub-domain. Turns out it needs to be installed at the root of the USER. (This is in fact how the wiki page tells you to do it, but I missed that nuance on first reading.) I hope some happy DreamHost user finds this helpful.

Yep, I hope so too. If nothing else, Brian, you can add it to your support arsenal.

One thing I should have mentioned: the wiki instructions do everything from the Unix command line. You do NOT need to do it this way. If you have a fear of the command line or if you don't have SSH access to your site, it works just fine to create the folders in your FTP client and upload the necessary files manually.
