Default Clear all calendar data

I have succesfully installed EPC on a local server for our home intranet. The learning curve was somewhat steep [1] but I have a functioning calendar called from a couple of test web pages all doing what I expect and viewable on all of our computers. In the learning process I loaded a lot of test events to the calendar, many of these from fictitious users and groups which I have since deleted and can't resurrect. I can't now delete these entries (even as administrator), my question is, short of doing a full reinstall, can I clear the calendar before I start to load it with real data?

[1] The learning curve got too steep and I fell off when I got to Categories/Selections which I have failed to understand completely. In "Settings" in the Online Web Help I found "The settings include in-line help for each option so no additional instructions should be required to use this component." Can someone tell me how to find this information or alternatively point me to an "idiot's guide" on the topic?

Thanks

You can use a tool like phpMyAdmin to clear the epc_calendar table.

The administrator should be able to delete the events, but you need to make sure it has the group permissions to do so.

A category would be a title like "Sport". Then, it would have selections like Baseball, Football, Hockey and Wrestling. Then, when you add an event, pick the sport from the category drop-down and it will be assigned to the event.

Thanks Brian, I'll have a look at this.

Ha! This is blindingly obvious now you have explained it. You can't imagine the knots I was tying myself in yesterday over someting so obvious and straightforward.

Thank you.
